Gail Askins Cole has provided regulatory compliance consulting services to financial institutions since 2002.  She was formerly the Senior Vice President /Compliance Director for First Citizens Bank of SC, a statewide banking institution, with 20 years experience.  At First Citizens, she was responsible for the direction, implementation and maintenance of a risk-based compliance program. Prior to joining First Citizens Bank, she was a bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for over 5 years.

Professional accomplishments include conducting topical seminars for the SC Bankers Association, writing articles for SC Bankers Association Palmetto Banker quarterly magazine, instructor of Compliance at the annual SC Bankers School for young bankers and serving as a member of SC Bankers Association Compliance and Regulatory Committee for almost two decades.  Ms. Cole also co-authored the revision and printing of the so called “red book” compilation of SC state laws applicable to the SC financial services industry.

Ms. Cole earned a BS in Business Administration - Finance Major from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.
